Microsoft has ended support for Office 2016 and Office 2019.
On October 14, 2025, Microsoft ended technical support for several of its products, including the Office 2016 and Office 2019 office suites. At the same time, the company stopped providing security updates for Exchange Server 2016 and 2019, as well as Skype for Business 2015 and 2019.
While the applications themselves will continue to function, users will no longer receive vulnerability fixes, security updates, or bug fixes. This makes older versions less secure and increases the risk of using them in a corporate environment.

Microsoft recommends upgrading to more modern solutions. The primary option is a Microsoft 365 subscription, which receives regular updates and new features. For those who prefer standalone products without being tied to the cloud, the company offers Office LTSC 2024. For voice and team communications, the company is focusing on Microsoft Teams and the updated version of Skype for Business Server Subscription Edition.
