One of the largest teams involved in the development of Grand Theft Auto 6 is located in India, with over 1,600 specialists. They are rumored to be responsible for the realistic open-world simulation, character animation, and other key elements of the upcoming project.

The new Grand Theft Auto game is considered the largest and most expensive project in the history of the gaming industry. Preliminary estimates place the development budget at over a billion dollars, and the release, expected in 2026, could set a sales record.

While India is not as well-known in the video game world as China or Korea, Rockstar's Indian team has remained an important part of the company's production process for many years. Specifically, the Indian team helps create visual effects and environmental interaction technologies, ensuring a high level of detail.

According to unofficial data, Rockstar North employs around 1,285 people, Rockstar Lincoln employs approximately 910, and the Indian branch, with its more than 1,600 developers, has become the company's largest division.
