The Assetto Corsa series has sold over 20 million copies

At SimRacing Expo 2025, developers KUNOS Simulazioni announced that cumulative sales of the Assetto Corsa racing series had surpassed 20 million copies. Studio head Marco Massarutto noted that the statistics included all versions and editions of the games since 2013, when the original Assetto Corsa was first released in Early Access.

Massarutto emphasized that the franchise achieved this impressive feat thanks to the highly realistic physics model, high-quality audio and visuals, as well as active engagement with the community and open support for modders, who continue to develop the project even years after its release.

Against the backdrop of this record, the studio unveiled a new project, Assetto Corsa Rally, which will be released on PC in Early Access on November 13, 2025. The title will feature 10 officially licensed cars, a day/night system, dynamic weather conditions, and 33 kilometers of tracks created using laser scanning of terrain in Assac and Wales. Confirmed cars include a 1976 Lancia Stratos Gr.4, a 1976 Fiat 131 Abarth Gr.4, and a 2020 Peugeot 208 Rally4.

In the future, the developers promise to expand the car fleet to 30 models, add a full-fledged career mode, and increase the road length to 120 kilometers. Meanwhile, the previous installment, Assetto Corsa EVO, continues to receive updates based on community feedback.
