Aaron Paul explained why he agreed to play in the interactive game Dispatch

The interactive drama Dispatch was recently released—the first game project in the acting career of Aaron Paul, best known for his role as Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad. According to the actor, it was the quality of the script and its combination of humor and deep drama that convinced him to take part in the title's creation.

Paul had previously worked on numerous voiceovers for films and TV series, including the animated film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, but had never worked on a full-fledged game project before. The actor noted that the script for Dispatch immediately made a strong impression on him: it skillfully intertwined lighthearted and emotional scenes. He was particularly struck by the scene on top of a billboard overlooking Los Angeles, where two characters engage in a heartfelt conversation—it was this scene that became the deciding factor in his agreement to participate.

Paul admitted that he was once an avid gamer and spent entire nights playing the console until he decided to curb his passion to avoid going to bed in the early morning.

Dispatch tells the story of a superhero who loses his costume and becomes a dispatcher for a team of supervillains. The project was originally conceived as an animated series, but the creators later changed the format and turned it into an interactive film. The first two episodes of the game became available on October 22.
