Assassin's Creed Shadows is coming to Switch 2 in December
Ubisoft continues to build on its most successful release in recent years—the historical action game Assassin's Creed Shadows is preparing for a new platform. The publisher has officially confirmed that the adapted version of the game will arrive on the Switch 2 hybrid console on December 2. The port will include all currently released updates and will also feature touch controls for the menu. The game will be available both digitally and as a boxed version with a key card. It will retail for $60.
Developers at Ubisoft Quebec also revealed plans for continued support of Shadows. An update will arrive on October 28th, featuring expanded parkour settings and a new activity called "Blighted Castles," where players will explore fortresses plagued by mystical anomalies. The next major update is scheduled for November 25th, adding the quest "A Puzzlement," in which Naoe searches for the bodies of her fallen enemies. Additionally, the story-driven DLC Claws of Awaji, which will expand the main characters' story, will be released before the end of 2026.
Despite skepticism prior to its release, the title delivered excellent sales and cemented Ubisoft's position as one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
