Abxylute unveiled a portable console with a glasses-free 3D screen
The company officially unveiled the Abxylute 3D One gaming console, whose key feature is a screen capable of displaying 3D images without the need for specialized glasses. The vendor partially revealed the device's technical specifications and announced its price.
The console features a 10.95-inch LTPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 480 nits. A system of infrared cameras that track the user's eye position and a multilayer display structure are used to create depth perception. If necessary, the device can be switched to standard 2D mode using a dedicated button.
The Abxylute 3D One is equipped with an Intel chip that scored 4067 points in the 3DMark Time Spy test, a 50 Wh battery, and a 1 TB solid-state drive.
The console's Kickstarter campaign launches on November 13. Pre-orders in the US will start at $1,499, with a retail price of $1,799.
