Sony has revealed the initial sales figures for Ghost of Yotei, which has nearly matched the success of Ghost of Tsushima

Sony has released sales figures for Ghost of Yotei, the new game from Sucker Punch, for the first time. In its first month of release, the action game sold 3.3 million copies, almost on par with Ghost of Tsushima. By comparison, the original game in the series sold 2.4 million copies in three days and reached 5 million copies four months after its release.

Sony's report also included financial results. Total PlayStation 5 console sales exceeded 84.2 million units, with revenue for the second fiscal quarter of 2025 reaching $7 billion.

Ghost of Yotei was released on October 2 and quickly attracted critical acclaim, receiving high praise for its visual style and combat system. However, some players considered the game overly political, despite its recognition as one of the best new games of the year.
