Fired Rockstar employees demand to be brought back to work on GTA 6
Several former employees of Rockstar North, the studio's main division developing Grand Theft Auto VI, have come forward demanding their former positions be reinstated and compensation for their dismissals. The protest is taking place outside the company's Edinburgh office, and the developers themselves gave an exclusive interview to the People Make Games channel, where they discussed the situation.
According to sources, between thirty and forty employees in the UK and Canada were dismissed, primarily from Rockstar North. Company representatives attributed the dismissal to a leak of confidential data and gross misconduct. However, the developers themselves claim the accusations are unfounded and no evidence of guilt was presented.

Former employees claim that dismissal without investigation and under the guise of "gross misconduct" effectively deprived them of the opportunity to find new work in the industry, as such a notation on a resume is perceived as a blemish on their reputation.
The Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB) has expressed interest in the situation, calling the dismissal the most egregious case of employee pressure in the history of the gaming industry. The union has already sent a formal demand to Rockstar Games management calling for the dismissed workers to be reinstated and compensated.
