Apple may release an iPhone case with touch controls — a new patent is being discussed online
An Instant Digital insider reported that Apple is developing new iPhone cases equipped with a proprietary touch interface. Such an accessory could not only protect the smartphone but also serve as an alternative control method.

This is indirectly confirmed by an Apple patent titled "Case with Input Functionality for Electronic Devices," which describes a technology for touch-sensitive areas on the accessory's surface. The patent suggests that the user would be able to adjust the volume, perform gestures, and interact with the iPhone's interface without touching the smartphone itself. The patent also mentions other input options, including a fingerprint sensor built into the side of the case.
Details about the project are still scarce, but the availability of such an accessory could significantly expand the functionality of Apple's existing cases.
