The Honor Robot Phone robotic smartphone was shown live for the first time
Honor unveiled its experimental Robot Phone even before its official launch. The device was shown at the Honor User Carnival event in China, although its full debut is scheduled for next February during Mobile World Congress (MWC).
The gadget was shown in several color options, including black, white, and gold. The back cover is made of glass or faux leather, depending on the version.
The smartphone's key feature is its camera, hidden in a recessed housing and mounted on a miniature hinge. It can rise above the device's surface and change its angle. The company claims the camera will be equipped with a range of AI capabilities that will automatically track objects and respond to changes in the frame.
Honor previously announced its intention to release a commercial version of the Robot Phone, but the timing and specifications of the production model remain unknown.
