The tentative release date for Forza Horizon 6, which will take place in Japan, has been announced
Reputable insider NateTheHate has shared fresh information about the release of the next installment of Forza Horizon, which is being developed by Playground Games. The project is being developed for multiple platforms, including PC and Xbox Series X/S, and while the studio is not yet revealing key details, its release window is already beginning to take shape.
According to the source, the launch is planned for the first half of 2026, with the most likely period being before the end of June. The insider dismissed talk of a possible release at the very beginning of the year as mere speculation, unsupported by any real data. The question of a Nintendo Switch 2 version remains unclear – according to him, no discussions within the studio have been recorded. This doesn't rule out a possible port, but testers have not yet reported any signs of its development.

The new game will take place in Japan, as confirmed by the first trailer, which features shots of mountain roads, city highways, nighttime illumination, and the distinctive neon reflections on car bodies. The developers aim to capture the atmosphere of the local car culture—both urban and rural—without trying to soften it to fit a tourist image. Players can expect a redesigned seasonal system and an expanded car roster, with sports cars, tuned cars, and classics gaining more personality and visual variety.
Forza Horizon 6 will be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch day, along with other games in the series. Analysts have called the possibility of a PlayStation 5 version a potentially logical step forward, given the franchise's expanding presence across multiple platforms, but there are no official statements yet.
