GTA 6 animation leaks have surfaced online, with the source linked to a Rockstar employee

A video has been discovered online, which has already been dubbed the first full-fledged "official" leak of Grand Theft Auto 6 footage. It was posted by Rockstar Games animator Benjamin Chu on his Vimeo channel. The collection includes several working animations from the studio's projects, including scenes from the anticipated sixth installment in the series.

Viewers noticed two fragments: one shows a character picking up a bicycle in a parking lot, and the other shows Lucia jumping from the back of a pickup truck. The quality suggests these are early development versions. In addition to GTA 6, the video included scenes from Red Dead Redemption 2, Max Payne 3, and GTA 5.

The video was quickly deleted, but it managed to circulate on social media. Some media outlets speculated that Chu had previously left Rockstar, but his LinkedIn profile refutes this: the animator is still listed as an employee of the studio and works in Rockstar Toronto.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.
