Abxylute unveiled the E1 retro-style set-top box with dual OS and external display support

Abxylute has expanded its line of devices with the new E1 portable console, aimed at retro gaming enthusiasts. The key feature of this model is its pre-installed dual operating systems—Android and Linux—that users can freely switch between. Furthermore, the device supports connecting accessories and displaying content on an external screen, making it more similar to home consoles.

The console features a 3.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 640x480 pixels. It is powered by a Rockchip RK3566 processor with Mali-G52 MP graphics. The E1 has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, along with a 64GB microSD card. Supporting drives up to 512GB, there's plenty of room for ROMs and games. The 3000mAh battery should last approximately five hours of continuous use.

Both systems feature built-in emulators for classic platforms, while Android also offers cloud gaming. Controls are standard: a d-pad, two thumbsticks, XYAB buttons, and standard triggers. Sound is provided by two 1-watt speakers, and a USB-C port is available for wired accessories, allowing the console to be connected to an external monitor. A headphone jack is also included.

The Abxylute E1 retails for $69 in the US, making it one of the most affordable portable retrogaming consoles.
