Insiders are confident that the iPhone Air 2 will still appear in 2026

Uncertainty has surrounded the iPhone Air lineup in recent months. Some sources claimed Apple may have completely canceled development of the second generation, while others merely suggested a delay. The situation was further fueled by news out of China: after the first iPhone Air's poor launch, local manufacturers began reconsidering their plans for ultra-thin smartphones, indirectly fueling doubts about the model's future.

A new leak changes the balance of power. According to 9to5mac, citing an insider at Fixed Focus Digital who shared the information on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Apple has not abandoned the project and plans to unveil the iPhone Air 2 in 2026. The device will allegedly be unveiled at the company's traditional fall event, which usually takes place in early September.

The source also confirmed earlier rumors about another Apple smartphone. This is the iPhone 17e, which, according to reports, has already entered mass production. Its announcement is expected in the spring, at Apple's March event, where the company typically presents updated devices and new versions of its line.
