Mangmi Pocket Max with 144Hz display will come in a retro design
Mangmi unveiled the Pocket Max portable gaming console, revealing the first renders of the device and sharing key technical details. Among the new product's highlights is a special edition version styled after classic portable gadgets of yesteryear.
The Pocket Max will be available in several color options, including black, white, and Retro GB. The latter features a beige and brown color scheme that evokes retro technology and iconic consoles of the past. The device's front is made of glass, and the interior features active cooling, a rarity for compact portable systems.
The display is a 7-inch OLED panel with a Full HD resolution. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR, boasts a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, and an expanded color gamut of up to 155 percent. This combination of features is designed for both modern games and the emulation of classic titles.
The back of the console features two additional triggers, while the top edge houses volume, power, and sleep buttons. It's already known that the Pocket Max will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The manufacturer has promised to reveal further specifications later.
The Mangmi Pocket Max is expected to retail for around $200, making it a potentially attractive option for fans of portable gaming and retro style.
