An update has been released for the RTX remaster of GTA IV: rain now looks correct
The modding community continues to refine the visuals of the classic Grand Theft Auto IV. Enthusiast xoxor4d has released update 1.1.5 for his unofficial RTX remaster, focusing on addressing noticeable graphical issues.
One of the key changes was an adjustment to rain particles—the drops now behave more naturally and don't disrupt the overall atmosphere of Liberty City. Previously, this effect had raised concerns among players, especially in scenes with dynamic lighting and reflections.

In addition to working on weather effects, the modder also reworked a number of environment models. Improvements were made to wood textures, glass surfaces, and certain elements of public transportation, including the metal parts of yellow taxis. The update continues its ongoing commitment to gradually but noticeably improving the game's visual quality while maintaining its original style.
