Valve Improves SteamOS: Update 3.7.19 Fixes Forza Horizon 4 and 5 Issues
Valve continues to consistently refine SteamOS, releasing updates aimed at improving system stability and the smooth operation of popular games. In January, the company released SteamOS 3.7.19, in which the developers focused on fixing accumulated technical issues.
One important fix was an issue with frame rate capping, which would malfunction after extended gaming sessions on monitors with variable refresh rates. A bug in the gameplay recording system was also fixed, which could cause videos to freeze unexpectedly while capturing video.

The update also addressed audio issues. Previously, the system would not always correctly switch the audio output when connecting headphones via the 3.5 mm jack and then disconnecting them, causing confusion about the active output device. This process has now become more stable.
Valve paid special attention to fans of the Forza racing series. SteamOS 3.7.19 fixes a bug that caused Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5 to launch with a blank window instead of an image. This update ensures both games run correctly on SteamOS devices.
