IO Interactive studio unexpectedly found itself at the center of controversy after publishing the system requirements for 007 First Light. The information appeared shortly after the announcement of the release delay to May 27, 2026, and immediately raised eyebrows among PC gamers. The presented specifications appeared to have been compiled without proper verification.

The most controversial section focused on processors. The minimum requirements listed an Intel Core i5-9500K, but such a chip never existed. Intel lists either an i5-9500 without a suffix or an i5-9600K, suggesting a simple error or confusion in the specifications.

The situation with video memory was equally odd. The developers listed 12 GB of VRAM for the RTX 3060 Ti in the recommended configuration, although this model only comes with 8 GB. A similar issue affected the minimum requirements, where the GTX 1660 was listed with 8 GB of video memory instead of the actual 6.

Even ignoring the inaccuracies, the specifications themselves appear quite demanding. Maximum settings require 32 GB of RAM and 16 GB of video memory. With several release delays, the community is increasingly concerned that 007 First Light risks encountering serious technical issues right from launch.
