Rockstar acknowledged three GTA VI leaks and confirmed staff layoffs

Rockstar Games officially confirmed that information about GTA VI was leaked online at least three times due to internal leaks. This information was disclosed during court proceedings, where the company also announced the dismissal of three employees in different countries and reiterated its strict zero-tolerance policy regarding the dissemination of confidential materials.

The first incident occurred in April 2025 in the UK: an employee in Lincoln leaked classified information to a third party, after which GTA VI details appeared on social media. Another incident was recorded in the US in November 2023, and a third in India last November. All resulted in the immediate termination of contracts.

Rockstar's admission coincided with posts by user GameRoll, who detailed game mechanics, including the weight system, the relationship scale, the differences in playstyles for characters of different genders, and the concept of dual protagonists. If this information is true, including the names of Lucia Caminos and Jason Duvall, then it indirectly confirms the veracity of other earlier leaks, some of which the studio has actually officially acknowledged.
