Battlefield 6 Season 2 has been delayed by almost a month

EA and Battlefield Studios have officially announced the postponement of the second season of Battlefield 6. Instead of the previously scheduled start date, the new support phase for the shooter will begin on February 17. The developers intend to dedicate this additional time to fixing issues with the base game and more thoroughly testing the content planned for release as part of the season.

The developers also announced a change in their testing approach. The Battlefield Labs initiative will now become a permanent tool for both future patches and seasonal updates. This will allow for early feedback gathering and adjustments before the public release. Details of the second season, as well as the project's development plan for 2026, are promised to be revealed soon.

According to industry media, the postponement is primarily due to a desire to improve the current technical state of Battlefield 6 and refine the seasonal content based on player feedback. Additional testing may also take place within Battlefield Labs.

Support for the game continues. On January 20th, Battlefield Studios will release an update with various improvements, and on January 27th, the Battle Pass will receive new tiers with free and premium rewards. Players can also look forward to daily bonuses and double XP weekends.
