An insider revealed the lengths fans go to for information about Grand Theft Auto VI

An insider has revealed the extreme methods used by fans to obtain information about GTA VI.

According to well-known insider Kiwi Talkz, during the years of Grand Theft Auto VI's development, Rockstar Games faced unprecedented attempts by fans to gain access to confidential project information. There have been reports of break-ins into the company's offices, the use of fake documents to gain access to secure areas, and even the use of drones to spy through the windows of the developers' buildings. These extreme measures demonstrate the incredible level of public interest in the game, which, according to the insider, surpasses any previous examples in the entertainment industry.

The insider also suggests that the game's initial release may be limited to digital distribution only due to the developers' concerns about physical copies. There are concerns that some fans may attempt to hack retail stores or production facilities to gain access to discs before the official release date. This approach would minimize the risk of content leaks and ensure a more controlled launch process.

Grand Theft Auto VI is officially scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. While Rockstar Games has not announced plans for a PC version, it is expected to be available on that platform sometime after the console release.
