Ayaneo unveiled the Pocket S Mini, a compact portable console for $319

Ayaneo has announced the launch of the Pocket S Mini, a portable gaming console designed for retro game emulation and mobile gaming. Despite its compact size, the device boasts a powerful hardware platform powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 processor, complemented by an active cooling system. Users can choose between configurations with 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 or 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The device's body combines an aluminum frame with a glass front panel, and controls include traditional gaming buttons, a D-pad, analog sticks, and Hall-effect triggers. A proprietary software suite is available for customizing and optimizing the gaming experience, including the AyaSpace launcher for games, the AyaHome desktop environment, and the AyaSetting utility for fine-tuning system settings.

Additional features include a 6,000 mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, as well as modern Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless modules. The base model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is priced at $319, while the top-end configuration with 16/512 GB costs $479. This positioning makes the device a competitor to other portable Android systems, offering a balance between performance and portability for mobile gamers.
