The disastrous MindsEye has released a major patch, but players aren't believing in miracles
Build a Rocket Boy, a studio founded by former Grand Theft Auto series producer Leslie Benzies, has released the largest update for its action game MindsEye since its release. The developers hope the patch will breathe new life into the project, while also announcing the release of its first expansion before the end of the year.

However, the gaming community is skeptical about the game's chances for a successful revival. Many users believe it's unfair to draw comparisons between MindsEye's rocky launch and the difficult releases of Cyberpunk 2077 or No Man's Sky. Gamers point to a key difference: the latter two projects, despite technical flaws, immediately achieved financial success and fan adoration thanks to a strong concept.
Players doubt that the Build a Rocket Boy team is prepared to give away content for free, as the creators of No Man's Sky did. The main criticism is that MindsEye was initially primitive and banal, and therefore even major patches are unable to fix its fundamental problems.
