An insider estimates the potential DLC for The Witcher 3 at $30

Rumors about a major new story expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continue to circulate in the gaming community. According to unconfirmed reports, CD Projekt Red may release this DLC shortly before the release of the next installment in the series, The Witcher IV, creating a bridge between the games.

Noble Securities analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski has speculated on the project's cost and scope. According to his data, the expansion could cost around $30, indicating a significant amount of content. Internal company financial documents allegedly indicate that the development budget for this project, excluding marketing, is estimated at $14.5 million. Sales projections are rumored to be 11 million copies.

The same analyst previously reported a possible release date for the expansion in May 2026, and also believed that the anticipated remake of the first installment in the series would not appear before 2028. CD Projekt Red traditionally does not comment on such leaks and rumors, leaving fans to wait for official announcements.
