In Norway, GTA VI will be given away to parents of children born on the game's release date
Norwegian electronics chain Komplett has launched an unusual advertising campaign to coincide with the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. According to a flyer posted on the streets, all parents whose child is born on November 19, 2026, will receive a copy of the game absolutely free.

Retailer representatives emphasize that the promotion is not a joke, and its terms are entirely realistic. With just over nine months to go until the official release, couples do have the theoretical opportunity to plan the birth of a child to combine business with pleasure.
The main uncertainty remains the possibility of a delay in the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI. However, Take-Two Interactive management has repeatedly confirmed its intention to release the game strictly on November 19. Currently, the publisher remains confident that the established deadline will be met. The full advertising campaign is expected to launch in late August, which also fits within the standard marketing cycles for major releases.
