Santa Monica Studio announced a remake of the original God of War trilogy
During the recent State of Play presentation, Santa Monica Studios officially confirmed a project fans have been eagerly awaiting for years. This is a full-fledged remake of the God of War Trilogy, combining the first three installments of the legendary series, all set in Ancient Greece. The project will be especially exciting thanks to the return of Terrence C. Carson, whose voice was integral to the original games, while Christopher Judge voiced Kratos in the Norse chapters. Carson himself stated that production is in the early stages, and more details are expected later.
In addition to the extensive remake, Sony Interactive Entertainment unexpectedly released a new project, God of War: Sons of Sparta, in its digital console store. This game is a minimalist prequel created by Mega Cat Studios in the Metroidvania genre. The project focuses on the childhood of Kratos and his brother, revealing previously unknown chapters in the Spartan warrior's biography. The release took place immediately after the broadcast.
The new exclusive is available for purchase on PlayStation 5 for $30 for the standard edition. For those who want additional content, a $40 version is available, including a digital artbook, soundtrack, and an exclusive avatar for their PlayStation Network profile.
