Activision will shut down Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile servers two years after launch

Publisher Activision has decided to permanently shut down the servers for the mobile version of the popular battle royale game, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Access to the game will be completely disabled on April 17, 2026, and users will no longer be able to access it. This will extend the project's lifespan just over two years from its March 2024 release.

The developers acknowledge that, despite their best efforts and pride in their work, the game failed to meet player expectations. The first signs of its imminent closure appeared as early as May 2025, when the title disappeared from digital stores and in-game purchases were disabled. Now, the final stage is approaching.

In an official statement, the team thanked fans for their support and offered alternative options for continuing the game in the Call of Duty universe. The primary replacement is named as Call of Duty: Mobile, which launched in 2019 and offers similar modes, including battle royale. Fans are also encouraged to check out the full versions of Warzone, available on PC and current consoles.
