The second season of Battlefield 6 failed to restore the shooter's former popularity

The recent launch of Battlefield 6's second season failed to live up to the publisher's hopes for a renewed interest in the game. Despite the addition of a new map, modes, vehicles, and a battle pass, the shooter's audience grew only slightly compared to its initial launch.

After its release, peak online viewership jumped from 60,000 to 92,000 concurrent players, which formally represents a 50% increase. However, these figures pale in comparison to its spectacular debut, when Battlefield 6 attracted 747,000 concurrent users, temporarily displacing Call of Duty as the leading multiplayer shooter.

Experts note that over the past six months, the game has lost more than 88% of its initial audience, and the current seasonal update has failed to reverse this trend. While the current 92,000 players are a respectable number for any online game, it highlights Battlefield 6's inability to sustain its massive player base in the long term.
