Capcom has revealed the secret behind the Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition: letters from the past will lead to a valuable reward

In the final phase of the marketing campaign for the horror game Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom decided to reveal one of the key features of the Deluxe Edition to spur interest. Although the title has already garnered thousands of wishlist additions, the publisher continues to fuel anticipation with fresh details.

Capcom Japan has released comments regarding the digital bonuses included in the Deluxe Edition. The main intrigue centered on the "Acts: 1998 Letters." Previously, fans assumed these were simple documents expanding the lore, similar to the Baker Incident reports in Resident Evil Village. However, new information points to a deeper interaction mechanic.

The description states that four letters written in the fateful year 1998 were somehow delivered to present-day Raccoon City. Collecting all the notes will not only be a collection activity, but will also lead to the acquisition of a special amulet. The letters themselves will allow players to immerse themselves in the experiences of ordinary citizens caught in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and discover the thoughts and feelings that accompanied them in their final moments.

Furthermore, Capcom is continuing its extensive promotional campaign: the global account recently announced a partnership with Porsche and confirmed the participation of an actress from the popular HBO series.
