Sony announced the release date of Marvel's Wolverine without much fanfare
Sony Interactive Entertainment unexpectedly announced the release date for the long-awaited action game Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac Games. Instead of the traditional State of Play presentation, the information was released on the developer and publisher's official social media accounts. According to the published information, the game will go on sale on September 15, 2026, which is entirely consistent with earlier predictions of a third-quarter release.

This modest announcement stands in stark contrast to the larger-scale presentation held in the fall of 2025. At that time, the creators detailed the project and confirmed that Liam McIntyre, known for his work on Spartacus: Vengeance, would play the lead role. However, for many fans, this news came as no surprise: back in late 2023, a major leak rocked the industry, revealing numerous plot details, game assets, and even a working build of the project.
Now that the date has been officially confirmed, players can finally wishlist Marvel's Wolverine in digital stores and begin the countdown to the bloody autumn of 2026.
