Twitch will celebrate March 8th with an all-female cooking simulator tournament
The streaming platform Twitch has announced a celebratory event dedicated to International Women's Day. On March 8th, as part of the Twitch Rivals initiative, a tournament will take place in the popular co-op game Overcooked! 2, featuring exclusively female streamers. Participants will be representatives of the so-called Twitch Women's Guild—a closed community created by the platform's administration to support and foster a safe environment for content creators.

The organizers emphasize that the tournament's main goal is not so much a competition as an opportunity for women to unite and spend time together on the holiday. The choice of game is symbolic: Overcooked! 2 requires participants to work closely together, understand each other, and quickly find common ground in stressful situations, perfectly embodying the spirit of community. The tournament will be broadcast live on the official Twitch Rivals channel, giving viewers the opportunity to cheer on their favorite streamers. It's not yet known whether the broadcast will feature any additional activities or special guests, but the very fact that such an event is taking place underscores the platform's commitment to inclusivity and creating a comfortable atmosphere for all categories of users.
