JEDEC sets new LPDDR5X memory standard
JEDEC Semiconductor Engineering Standardization Committee has set updated LPDDR5X high-speed memory standards. This update is an upgrade to LPDDR5 with a number of significant improvements.

The fundamental innovation was the increase in throughput speed up to 8533 Mbps per output compared to 6400 Mbps in the old modules. The standard also provides for enhancing the integrity of the signal through TX / RX equalization and increasing operational reliability.

Well-known corporations Micron Technology and Samsung participated in the process of changing the standard. They will be the first to start making chips for their future products. At the same time, LPDDR5X memory will be used in other high-tech industries.

Soon, LPDDR5X can be encountered in consumer products, in particular in the PC segment. So, developers from Intel are going to implement the developed memory standard in the thirteenth generation Core chips.
