On February 15, Microsoft released the first major update to Windows 11. The fabric system supports Android apps, it also gets a redesigned Notepad and Media Player, and some taskbar improvements.

You can download the update by going to Windows Update. Distribution will be carried out in stages.

The main innovation was the ability to install Android programs from the Amazon marketplace (now this option is available only to users from the United States). There is no full support for APK files yet, but Google intends to introduce its program for running Android games on a Windows PC.

As for the taskbar, now the date and time can be displayed on several screens connected to the PC. The developers also added weather widgets and the function to turn the sound on and off in Microsoft Teams.

Notepad has a dark mode, a redesigned search interface, and multi-step undo. As for Media Player, the program has replaced Grove Music and Windows Media Player. The new application is capable of playing both audio files and videos. Also, its design was redesigned in favor of approaching the system interface.

In 2022, Windows will receive several more updates with additional functionality.
