LineageOS custom firmware based on Android 12 became available to several old smartphones
The list of smartphones that support the popular custom OS has been replenished with a number of devices. In July, LineageOS, based on Android 12, was released on OnePlus Nord N200, Redmi 7, FairPhone 3. At the moment, it can be installed on devices such as Motorola G 5G, 5G Plus, Edge, as well as on old ZUK Z2 Plus devices and Xiaomi Mi6.

Models from Motorola were released in 2020-21. Out of the box, they had Android 10, after which there was a single update to the eleventh version of the “green robot”. And now the creators of LineageOS made it possible to install pure Android 12 on these devices.

ZUK Z2 Plus and Xiaomi Mi6 came out five years ago. They had on board the sixth and seventh Android. Since then, Lenovo has released an update for ZUK Z2 Plus to the eighth version of the system, and Xiaomi Mi6 has been updated to MIUI 11 based on Android 9. For many, it was a surprise that LineageOS developers provided the ability to update these devices to the current LineageOS 19.

You can download the firmware from the official website of the project.
