The Google Tensor G2 processor was tested in benchmarks. The results came out average
Google Tensor G2 is the "heart" of the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones. After the presentation of the devices, they managed to check it in performance tests. It outperformed its predecessor, but compared to two-year-old chipsets from other manufacturers, it proved to be average.

Above are the test results. According to them, we can judge that the Tensor G2 chip outperformed its predecessor in the face of G1 by 8 points in multi-core mode, and by 2% in single-core mode. If you look at the numbers, then Tensor G2 is inferior even to Snapdragon 888, which was released two years ago (1135/3794 points).

The Google Tensor G2 has four Cortex-A55 cores, two Cortex-X1 cores, and two more Cortex-A76 cores. The architecture is similar to its predecessor, but the developers increased the frequency of the A76 cores by 100 MHz (total 2.35 GHz), and the X1 cores by 50 MHz (total 2.85 GHz). The process technology has also decreased from 5 to 4 nm.
