TikTok adds the ability for creators to upload paid videos
The new way of monetization will allow content creators to earn up to $190 at a time. At the same time, videos can have an increased duration compared to standard videos.
The function is simply called Series. Thanks to it, the content maker will be able to compile video collections and further put them up for sale. Collections can contain up to 80 clips no longer than 20 minutes each. The author can choose the cost of access on his own in the range of $1-190. At the moment, only selected authors can use the function.
Initially, content makers will receive income almost entirely without taking into account the commission of the service, but in the future the amount of fees may be revised. The actual acquisition of videos will take place through TikTok, but the authors will be able to use a special Series resource to monitor the success of their own campaign.
This innovation should help the service retain authors in the face of growing competition from other sites. Previously, a number of content makers have stated that they receive mere pennies from TikTok if their videos do not go viral.
