EA Ready to Delay New Battlefield Part Due to GTA 6 Release
Electronic Arts is considering shifting the release date of the next Battlefield if the market situation makes the planned release window unsuccessful. The shooter is due out before April 2026, but the competition during this period is expected to be serious. Thus, GTA 6 will be released in the fall, and among other major releases are Borderlands 4, Death Stranding 2, Fable and Mafia: The Old Country.
According to EA CEO Andrew Wilson, a record amount of resources has been allocated to the development of ,eleotq Battlefield. The company wants to create the largest part of the series and guarantee it a successful start. DICE, Ripple Effect, Motive and Criterion are working on the project. The developers intend to regain the trust of fans after the failed launch of Battlefield 2042, which was corrected only over time.
The game is being developed in a modern setting with the return of the classic class system. In addition, EA has already launched Battlefield Labs to test innovations and showed the first footage.
