Take-Two CEO Confident GTA 6 Won't Affect Real-World Violence

After the release of the quarterly report, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick gave an interview to CNBC, where he discussed the upcoming release of GTA 6. One of the topics was the possible influence of the game on the level of violence in reality.

Zelnick said that he sees no reason to worry. In his opinion, entertainment does not shape behavior, but only reflects it, helping people experience emotions and perceive stories. He also recalled that studies have repeatedly refuted the theory about the negative impact of games on the mental state of gamers.
The release of GTA 6 is scheduled for autumn 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has not yet been announced.
