According to the Naver website (South Korea), Apple intends to abandon the iPhone 17 Pro Max model for the new iPhone 17 Ultra. It is assumed that the flagship device will receive an evaporation chamber for better cooling, increased battery capacity and a smaller screen cutout.
The key characteristics of the iPhone 17 Ultra include a titanium-aluminum frame, an Apple A19 chipset and a 6.6" LTPO OLED display. There is also information that the Air version of the device can replace the iPhone 17 Plus, and the difference between the Ultra and Pro will be significantly greater than that of the Pro and Pro Max in the current generation.
Insider also noted that four devices of the iPhone 17 line have already been presented as mockups, but the Plus version was not among them, which confirms rumors about its possible disappearance.
