Insider: Santa Monica Studio is working on a God of War spin-off set in Ancient Greece

Recent rumors about a possible remaster of the classic God of War turned out to be inaccurate. According to insider Jeff Grubb, the Santa Monica studio is actually working on a new spin-off that will once again immerse players in ancient Greek mythology.

It is this setting, according to the journalist, that could lead to confusion among fans of the series. The project is not a full-fledged new part and is not connected to the DLC for God of War: Ragnarök. Grubb also mentioned that Cory Barlog could have been involved in the development, but this information cannot be definitively confirmed yet.
