Euro Truck Simulator 2 is preparing a major update with buses and Iceland
Developers from SCS Software have announced two major add-ons for ETS 2 that will significantly expand the gaming experience. The first, Project Coaches, will add the ability to play as a bus driver to the simulator. Players will be able to drive licensed models from Scania and MAN, completing routes across Europe with stops at updated bus stations. A realistic passenger transportation system will include boarding and disembarking people, maintaining a schedule and customizing transport. This mode is being developed as a separate DLC and will fulfill the long-standing dream of fans of a built-in bus career without the need to use mods.

The second add-on will take virtual truckers to Iceland, offering unique landscapes with volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls and other natural attractions. The main route will be "Hringvegur" with a length of 1400 kilometers, allowing you to drive around the entire island and get to Reykjavik. A feature of local roads will be the almost complete absence of highways - most routes will be two-lane.

Both new products are still in development, and their exact release dates are not disclosed. SCS Software emphasizes the priority of quality and smooth integration of new mechanics into the existing game ecosystem. Project Coaches screenshots already show buses on European roads, and the concepts of the Icelandic DLC confirm the developers' attention to the details of the local landscape. These additions will open up completely new ways for players to interact with the simulator world.
