In response to a series of commercial failures, including the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, WB Games management has decided on a radical restructuring. From now on, the publisher will focus exclusively on four core franchises: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat, and DC Universe projects.

As part of the organizational changes, several studio heads have been promoted to vice presidents, each of whom will oversee one of the approved series, reporting directly to the head of the games division. This decision effectively consolidates the existing practice - even the recently canceled Wonder Woman game was one of the four priority areas.
After the relative success of Hogwarts Legacy and the continued popularity of Mortal Kombat, the company intends to minimize risks by refraining from experimenting with new IPs. This approach excludes unexpected announcements in the coming years, but allows it to focus resources on proven brands with a guaranteed audience.
