Nintendo Switch 2: Rumors of consoles being banned due to offensive nicknames

There have been reports online that Nintendo has started blocking Switch 2 consoles not only for using pirated MIG Flash cartridges, but also for inappropriate usernames. One player on Reddit, Funaoe24, said that his console was permanently blocked because of an account named Twink Link created by his sister.



The user contacted Nintendo support, but the company's representatives were unable to lift the block, forcing him to return the device to the store. So far, this story has not been officially confirmed - the only evidence is a screenshot of the blocking notification, and Nintendo itself has not commented on the situation.

However, the incident has caused concern among players, since the Nintendo of America community rules do indeed prohibit offensive and indecent nicknames. Previously, few people expected that the company could apply such strict measures for seemingly minor violations.
