The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Gets Chronological Mode

Developers Naughty Dog have unveiled a major update for TLoU Part 2 Remastered, adding the long-awaited ability to play through the story campaign in chronological order. This mode, created with the participation of Nixxes, allows players to take a fresh look at the intertwined stories of Ellie and Abby, although the developers still recommend that newcomers first get acquainted with the original narrative presentation.



A special feature of the update is the exclusive cosmetic rewards for completing the game in the new mode. Fans of the franchise will be able to dress Joel and Tommy in the costumes of the Drake brothers from Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which adds an element of nostalgia for another iconic Naughty Dog series to the gameplay.



The developers acknowledged the technical complexity of the chronological mode, which required a thorough reworking of the script and gameplay sequences. This step demonstrates the studio's desire to offer fans a fresh look at the controversial, but deeply developed plot of the sequel, released four years ago.
