Arkane plans to finish Marvel's Blade development only by the end of 2027

According to Arkane's 2024 financial report, their next AAA project, presumably Marvel's Blade, is expected to be completed by November 2027. The document indicates that production on the game began in December 2024 after the prototype was approved, confirming that the game has passed a key pre-production stage.

Insider shinobi602 notes that 2-3 years of active development, taking into account the completed pre-production, is a standard timeframe for a large project, unless there are any unforeseen complications. The game, announced in December 2023, is a third-person solo action game about the half-vampire Blade, created on a modified Void Engine, previously used in Dishonored 2 and Deathloop.



Marvel's Blade will take place in Paris, besieged by vampires, where residents are forced to hide at night. While some fans have expressed skepticism about the stated timeframe, Arkane, a studio known for its carefully crafted game worlds, has traditionally stuck to planned release dates after the pre-production phase is complete.
