Nintendo Reveals Lead Roles for The Legend of Zelda Movie
Nintendo continues to actively develop its game franchises in cinema, and one of the most anticipated adaptations was the film adaptation of the cult series The Legend of Zelda. After a long silence, the studio finally announced the actors who will embody the key characters of the universe on screen.

The role of Link, the main character of the franchise, will be played by 16-year-old Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, known for his role in the series "Sandman" and the voice of Pinocchio in the 2022 cartoon of the same name. Princess Zelda, whose name became the name of the entire series, will be played by 21-year-old Bo Bragason, who previously appeared in the series "Nell the Robber" and participated in the creation of the animated film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV as a motion capture actress for the character Luna.
The film is being produced by Nintendo and Sony Pictures, but plot details remain a secret for now. Directed by Wes Ball, best known for the Maze Runner trilogy and the latest installment of the Planet of the Apes franchise, the film adaptation is set to premiere on May 7, 2027.
