Samsung Components to Be Used in Apple's First Flip Phone

According to insider Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the debut foldable iPhone model will receive key components from Samsung and Fine M-Tec. In particular, the South Korean manufacturer will supply the screen and hinge mechanism for the new device. Visually, the gadget is expected to resemble the flagship foldable smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.

Gurman notes that the foldable iPhone can achieve commercial success even at a price above $ 2,000, despite the lack of revolutionary changes in the hardware or software. At the same time, Apple has already begun to adapt its OS to the new form factor - work on iOS 27 is being carried out in accordance with the features of the foldable gadget.
The presentation of the new product should take place in the fall of 2026. This will be Apple's first experience in the foldable smartphone segment, where manufacturers from Asia have dominated for several years.
