Fallout series creators to take on Mass Effect adaptation

The production team behind Amazon's successful Fallout adaptation has begun work on a Mass Effect TV adaptation. The move has fans excited given the high ratings and quick renewal for a second season of the post-apocalyptic show. Senior Amazon executive Scott Farris is playing a key role in both projects, as confirmed by Mass Effect writer and producer Daniel Casey.

The series has also been joined by seasoned talent, including Star Trek Beyond showrunner Doug Jung. Script development has begun in 2025, with a pilot and season outline already completed.



Despite Henry Cavill's previous statements about his interest in the project, his involvement remains in question. He is currently busy filming another major Amazon adaptation, a Warhammer 40,000 series, making his appearance as Commander Shepard unlikely.
