EA to Keep Games Price at $70, Including Battlefield 6

During the Q1 2025-2026 earnings call with investors, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that the company has no plans to raise the price of its games to $80. All major releases, including Madden NFL 26, EA Sports FC 26, and the long-awaited Battlefield 6, will remain at the standard $70 price point.
Wilson emphasized that EA is pursuing a flexible pricing policy, offering products in various price categories — from free-to-play projects to premium and deluxe editions. This approach allows it to meet the needs of a wide range of players. The company's head noted that no radical changes in pricing strategy are expected in the near future, although EA continues to explore opportunities to optimize pricing models.

Unlike Nintendo, which set the price for Mario Kart World and updated versions of Switch exclusives at $80, most major publishers, including Microsoft, are keeping the price of new releases at $70. EA's decision is in line with a general trend in the industry, where companies are trying to balance between economic feasibility and player expectations.
