Rumor: Grand Theft Auto VI May Face Another Release Delay

One of the most anticipated projects in the gaming industry, GTA VI, is at risk of facing another release date postponement. According to insiders, developers from Rockstar Games are considering postponing the release to September 2026 instead of the originally planned May.

Sources, including insider Millie Amand, who has previously reliably reported on projects like Wolverine and LEGO 2K Drive, claim that the studio has encountered problems in development. According to user GameRoll, known for accurate leaks about GTA VI characters, one of the key chapters of the game was sent back for revision, and some content was cut out altogether. These changes, as well as the need to perfect the GTA VI Online multiplayer mode, may cause another postponement.

The game is still officially announced for May 2026 exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The release date for the PC version has not yet been revealed. Analysts predict that GTA VI will be able to surpass the financial performance of GTA V, becoming one of the most profitable projects in the history of the industry in the first months after release.
